The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC introduces many new weapons to Elden Ring, along with powerful new weapon types that offer new ways to defeat enemies. As you explore the Realm of Shadow, you'll typically find weapons by defeating bosses and enemies, pillaging corpses, searching treasures chests, and exchanging remembrances. Most weapons also come with a powerful weapon skill, which can turn the tide of a combat encounter in your favor should you have the right attributes to properly wield the weapon. You'll also be able to change the weapon skill of some weapons with Ashes of War, allowing you to further customize your build, weapon attribute scaling, attack power type, and more.

Similar to the base game of Elden Ring, many weapons have unique Weapon Skills that cannot be changed or used in other weapons. Each weapon will have a minimum attribute level required to use it effectively and make use of its Weapon Skill, and weapons will also scale increased damage depending on the value of certain attributes. Smithing Stones and Somber Smithing Stones can be used at a smithy to further increase the damage of your weapons.
